This stone arch is a particularly notorious one in the Madison Area.

Crossing Bram Street, it is far too narrow to carry a moderately busy street with pedestrian lanes into a park area.
The bridge was originally built in 1880, along with the Wingra Creek Bridge. These two arches were widened in 1898 for a second track.
This bridge was at one time deadly, but this was solved by making it a one lane bridge, and adding protected pedestrian lanes.
Overall, the bridge remains in good condition.

The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the old design of the stone arch.
